Hanging around Queenstown/Arrowtown for a few days.

So I'm taking a break from cycling for the next few days. I am flying up to Auckland for the NZ Juggling Convention on Wednesday, will be staying up there for the weekend, and then flying back down on Sunday. Leaving my bike at a small hostel in Arrowtown; I packed all of my clothes into another bag for the plane ride. Almost everything I have for this entire two months easily fits into a gym bag. It was very uncanny to see how few clothes I actually have.

Have pretty much just been resting for the past couple of days. I rode my bike up a packed dirt mountain bike track yesterday, got some stunning panoramic views of the town. Arrowtown, where I'm staying, is a small town that was initially founded after gold was discovered in the nearby river. The gold rush didn't last too long though. There's an airport in the nearby Queenstown, a larger metropolis-type city, but it is much calmer to stay in Arrowtown and just take a bus into the city. It was also easier to arrange to leave the bike here than in Queenstown.

Time to juggle!

Lot of these trees here. Not sure what they are.

View looking down at Arrowtown.
